Wish You Were Here is a first-of-its-kind immersive experience. By merging art, history, and technology, artist Mitchel Coffman explores the Global War on Terror through a massive painting installation brought to life using audio interviews and dynamic animations.

As visitors move through the exhibit, they will experience an immersive installation that takes the art of storytelling to another level. A monitor accompanying each painting brings the image to life through an animation and the voice of the soldier who lived the experience, giving powerful context to these images and creating a direct connection with the audience.

We are actively seeking suitable locations and sponsors to help animate paintings and bring the soldiers’ stories to life, fostering a deep and meaningful connection with our audience. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on this project.

Mitchel spoke to Christopher Paul Meyer, the host of Havok Journal’s podcast, Profiles in Havok, about his artistic journey and what led him to create this body of work.
