RICH

RICH

RICH is a contemporary narrative touching on socioeconomic issues, race, and the student loan crisis. Two men from opposite walks of life have become good friends through a retail job that neither one wants to be at. Full-time supervisor George aims to one day start his own business, while Mitchel is a part-time employee and aspiring artist with massive student loan debt. Their commonalities make their bond stronger as they discover that each had mentors who passed away before seeing them achieve their goals. Inspired by George’s story, Mitchel has an upcoming art exhibit and wants the final piece to be a portrait of his friend who has been his biggest supporter since day one. The gallery reception isn’t quite what Mitchel bargained for, as he not only has to defend his work, but he also finds out the real reason as to why George has nicknamed him “Rich.”
